NIMBUS - Lightning rod with streaming device (ESE).

Nimbus® is the series of new generation lightning rods with electronic early streaming emission (ESE). Radius of protection up to 100 m (based on emission times of 15 μs, 30 μs, 45 μs and 60 μs).

ESE Technology:

ESE-Early Streamer Emission technology uses the atmospheric gradient to generate ionization which can subsequently increase the protected volume. These facilities the protection of large area, simplifying and reducing material and installation costs.

CDI Counter

Surge counter model CDI-250 has no direct contact with elements of the lightning protection system. It allows monitoring of cumulative stress to the LPS and coordination of an effective maintenance and replacement programme cannot be reset.

INSTALLATION

The counter is installed on the grounding system at a place where an impulse current of more than 250A is likely to occur, for example between the SPD and the bonding bar. The grounding wire is passed through the counter. The counter does not require a battery or power supply and is maintenance free. The CDI-250 can be installed on a DIN rail or attached directly to a flat surface using screws. The counter can accommodate grounding 2 wires of up to 100 mm.
