Our Approach

Structured Processes for Guaranteed Results.

The JEF team of experts perform specialized tests such as riser and grid integrity test which offer a comprehensive view of the grounding system both above and below the ground.

Our expert evaluations unearth vulnerabilities and ensure absolute safety and peak performance, without necessitating system shutdowns.

Various Studies Conducted Under Power System Studies

  • Load Flow Analysis

Load flow analysis is important for the proper planning, design, and operation of generation, transmission, and distribution networks. The results of the study provide detailed insight into steady-state performance under different operating conditions.

  • Short Circuit Studies

A short circuit study is performed to find the short-time rating of the equipment and to find the breaking, making, and braking capability of the interrupting equipment.

  • Relay Coordination Studies

Protection coordination study is done to determine the settings for the protection devices to ensure the coordination is achieved and to provide a logical approach to Time-Current Characteristic curve selectivity analysis.

  • Harmonic Analysis

Harmonic Analysis is carried out to find the Voltage Total Harmonic Distortion (VTHD), Current Total Harmonic Distortion (ITHD), and Total Demand Distortion (TDD) at PCC and various buses to ensure harmonic levels within the permissible limit.

  • Transient Stability Analysis

Transient Stability Analysis is done to check the system's stability under transient events and compute critical clearing time.

  • Motor Acceleration Studies

Motor Acceleration Studies enable system planners and engineers to calculate motor acceleration time and analyze the impact of motor starting for various conditions on electrical power systems.

  • Arc Flash Studies

An arc flash study that identifies and analyzes the specific arc flash hazard for electrical equipment. This is to determine the amount of incident energy at an electrical device during live maintenance.

  • Grid Impact Study

An analytical background for power system stakeholders to make decisions about interconnecting different sources of electricity. The grid integration study can be done by a variety of power sector decision-makers and analysts.

  • Cable Thermal Analysis

The cable thermal analysis helps engineers to design cable systems to operate to their maximum potential while providing a secure and reliable operation.

  • Reliability Studies

Advanced distribution reliability assessment provides engineers with an efficient and effective tool for estimating the performance of power systems. Powerful calculation techniques allow engineers to choose the depth of system design and the associated results.

● Power System Studies are crucial for the stable and reliable operation of the power system under both steady-state and dynamic scenarios. ● It helps the power system engineer to understand the available and expected performance of an electrical system and our power system studies experts analyze and provide solutions for an unexpected event or fault.

● Customers are provided with the report or findings and educate to operate the system in the most reliable systematic manner. ● The technical data provided by our team of experts help the customer to identify the areas to be secured for reliable operation ● Safety-connected issues are identified and the customer is provided with a report highlighting the areas of concern to avoid harm or injuries to working personnel.

Load flow analysis is carried out to obtain voltages, real power, and reactive power at various buses, to obtain the loading of equipment under various operating conditions, and to select the continuous rating of the equipment. Reactive Power Compensation is also done to maintain the terminal voltage within the limit and to maintain the power factor at PCC.

Since the fault cannot always be prevented, we can only attempt to reduce it and withstand the potentially damaging effects to some extent. In the early development, this study is required to design an electrical system so that the likelihood of a fault impact is minimum. If a short circuit occurs, to reduce its effect, isolating the faulty part of the system from the healthy part and maintaining service to the rest of the system is essential.

The impartiality of the protection coordination study is to verify that all protective equipment in the system is properly coordinated according to the protected equipment. The significance of a protective coordination study ● It helps to prevent unnecessary downtime ● It helps to prevent breakdown by identifying overloaded equipment. ● Enhanced system and facility reliability ● Decreases the cost impact & Better equipment protection ● Improved operating efficiency and Prevented breakdown by identifying overloaded equipment.

ACTIVITY

● To identify arc flash hazards ● To estimate the likelihood of occurrence and potential severity of injury or damage to health ● To determine whether additional protective measures are required.
